GREAT weather - sun and 80's all week - a few 10 min showers on some (not all days). Good wind - Sailed a lot (too much wind one day). Drake channel was white with spray one day... Bigger north sea swell as the week went on - got to be a problem in Cane Garden Bay. I have never seen 3-5 ft breaking waves in a mooring field (here's a tip - moor in the middle, and back away from the beach) We anchored at Great Harbor (JVD) and Sandy Cay. Moored at Little Harbor (JVD), CGB, Leinster Bay, Francis/Maho Bay (USVI). Moorings we saw were all in good condition. In general, things were a little quiet everywhere - many places didn't seem open yet (ex: Corsairs). Thank God for Foxy's and Rhymers. Foxy's BBQ is as good as previously mentioned ( and I WAS a skeptic). USVI plug - if you haven't tried the breakfast at Maho Bay Camps - it is a great value - so...the first week of November 2006 was a great time to go. Respond with questions...
Now...how many months till we go back?
