Just paid $50 for mooring at Norman - ball looked slight different than some of the others (2 or 3 were similar to mine) whats deal?

Was it an oblong kinda egg shaped ball? I think I remember they had balls for larger boats in the Bight... might have been one of those. Kinda crappy they didn't tell you to just grab another ball for $20 less.
