We have just returned from a fantastic 2 weeks on St. John. The weather was great and the snorkeling was better. We took several charter trips but did most of our snorkeling from the various beaches.

We stayed at Sea Cay Villa and I want to thank Jeff and Laura for their pictures and information on the villa. Sea Cay is a 3 bedroom/4 bath villa overlooking Rendezvous Bay/Dittlif Point. One bedroom is located over the great room (living/dining/kitchen) but does not have access without going outside. The other 2 bedrooms are across the way. The villa is essentially 2 levels with 2 bedrooms up and 1 down, all with private entrances. Each bedroom is air conditioned and has ceiling fans. There is a small laundry room and a separate bathroom/shower at the pool. The pool is good size and goes from about 4-5 feet in depth. The villa is owned by Rich Meyer, owner of Lime Inn and has been kept in pretty good condition. The pool light and security lights didn't work and were still out when we left. The villa is located on Fish Bay Road and the only draw back was that it became a very bumpy dirt road for about .4 mile from 104 to the villa. However, compared to some St. John roads, this was a cake walk. Also, visibility exiting the drive was a little difficult because of the angle but there isn't much traffic so we really didn't have a problem. If you had a bad back, the road could be rough, but slow and easy was no problem for us. Almost forgot, they installed a wall safe in the great room while we were there for locking up your passport, money and other valuables. It is a key/combination style safe. I would highly recommend this villa to anyone.
If anyone has any specific questions, feel free to ask. Wish we were still there.
Wayne

Edited by Administrator on 6/5/01 02:15 PM.
