Well, Donna and I are back in the cold after our trip to SXM. We had uneventful flights on Continental from Newark leaving for SXM on Jan 31 and returning Feb 7.

On arrival, we were met by Mohamed of Panoramic and one of his associates. He provided us with a wonderful Toyota at a very reasonable rate, I'll definitely use him again.

After picking up a phone from Sharon, we found the new Grand Mache, got some water and snacks, and headed up to Alamanda.

Immediately we headed over to Baywatch for lunch where I had some incredible Mussels ala Andy. And that was just the beginning of an incredible week of dining. We dined at Mario's, Sol e Luna, Spiga, Saratoga, Bikini (for the Super Bowl) and Tap 5. The only minor disappointment was a Shrimp Special at Mario's which was slightly over salted. Part of me thought I should return it, instead, after eating it all, I mentioned to the waiter that he should tell Mario to watch the salt. The waiter said I was not the only one to have complained about salty food lately. Our final dinner was Tuesday Night at Talk of the Town in Grand Case during Harmony Night. What a blast.

I also need to give thanks to Sandy Molloy who helped with getting us our room at the Alamanda, which had a great view of the beach, and a bottle of wine waiting for us on our arrival. Thank you Sandy.

This turned out to NOT be a photography intensive trip, as sand and book gravity really took over. Both of us read 6 books in 7 days. However pictures are available at
