We did this very thing and booked a slip at Scrub and took their ferry to Trellis/the party and back. That way you don't have to be concerned about getting to Trellis early and/or risk not getting a ball or room to anchor....you take your time and do whatever and pull into Scrub on your schedule. Great facilities...a little pricy since they don't offer a discount during the full moon party. That said - several places now have full moon parties so....for example....I believe Foxy's now has one. But, from what I've read, I would still do Trellis.

We did the Bomba's full moon party once......we would probably not do it again. Just not our scene. With that being said, I am excited that we will be at the villa and can walk to Foxy's Taboo for their full moon party in October. Also, I found this Full Moon Party Info when researching. Has some new and old options to think about in your travel planning. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/toast.gif" alt="" />

Not a fan of the Full Moon parties here, so I'd head somewhere else that may be less crowded due to everybody being at them. I all for staying away from the crowds!

My kids, 18 & 23, enjoy Trellis. We were there in September and all 30 of us had fun. Lots of Bomba FMPs over the last 20+ years, the ones I remember were pretty good, but quite the frat party. These days we'd rather be in a quiet anchorage. For the blue moon party this July we'll be in Cruz Bay with our Gang of 10, probably listening to the band at Todd & Christie' place, Cruz Bay Landing.
Cheers, RickG
