The source for the above article is the St Maarten Goverment. http://www.sintmaartengov.org/PressRelea...rt-until-furtheIt looks like one AA flight has diverted to SJU, while other inbound flights are still in the air.

Just looked at flight status for arrivals. Most US airlines are showing delaysd at this point in time. Air France is showing as scheduled, but that is to be expected as they were already in the air. A couple show as diverted, but that was before now.

Thanks, Eric.
The AA flight from CLT which was diverted to SJU now appears to be en route to SXM with an expected arrival time of 2:58PM.

Saw I THINK a couple of flights diverted, the others were in transit, so outside of going around in circles they should be fine. But it will be a mess as you do not have the spacing between arrivals and exits. So glad I am not at the airport today. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/duh.gif" alt="" />

Wasn't there a bomb threat last year involving a KLM aircraft?

Same crap happened last time. They need to try trace the number and arrest the person.

Unfortunately, anyone who plans on doing these crimes, has enough forethought to purchase a $20.00 "throw away" phone that are for sale all over now. They make the purchase with no record of sale (they pay cash), and walk out of the store with a phone that they throw away after using the allotted minutes. Virtually impossible to track any of the phone calls or who made them.

We were there! Checked in just before noon. Sat down to get a burger @ BK. Alarms went off and back out the door. 2 hours later we were back inside. What a rush to get everyone thru security and back on track. Our 2:50 pm flight on AA actually boarded at 3:20 or so and left 20 minutes later.
