Thanks to all of you from this board. With your help and suggestions our week was wonderful. I couldn't have done it without you.

Sunday: I was a bit worried when we were delayed from Philadelphia over an hr. just sitting on the runway but after finally taking off, everything from then on was fine. Even being over an hr. late to St. Maarten, our car from Panoramic was waiting for us (small but great air) and from there we picked up our phone from Sharon and we're off to Caps Caraibes on Orient Beach. We had a 3rd floor room overlooking Wakiki and as soon as we dumped our bags we were on the beach. After a long walk, we realized we needed a few provisions and found Tap 5 and got what we needed for the next few days and headed back to the room to unpack. Exhaustion set in so settled for a meal at Bikini Beach, another walk on the beach with a full moon and hit the hay (perfect day).

Monday: Awoke much more refreshed and headed down to Baywatch for breakfast and to meet Andy only to find it was closed! A guy sweeping told us he was only closed on Mondays and to come back tomorrow. We said we'd be back and headed for Tap 5 for fresh croissants. Yummee! After a walk on the beach, gravity set in for the day....water and weather was perfect. I think I stayed in the water for hours. We showered and headed to Mr. Busby's for a late afternoon drink, Mr. B's turned into Daniels and we stayed for dinner. Had a great meal, one seafood and one pasta dish with wine for very reasonable fee and headed back to Orient.

Tuesday: We were picked up at 8 am for a day trip aboard the Golden Eagle. Great crew and great passengers and another great day. Started from Bobby's Marina and went to Tintamarre first. We had been there before so showed everyone where the mud pits were. Stayed there for about an hr. and then sailed around the Island. Stopped to snorkel for about an hr. then on to Grand Case for lunch at Calmos Cafe. Good salad, fish and homemade ice cream! Sailed to Mullet's Bay for another swim and then a slow sail back to Phillipsburg. Good music and met great people. Didn't get back to Orient till almost 6 so decided to eat At Orient Village (Safari Grill), had great pasta, wine, dessert for a good price (around $60 ).

Wed.: Finally got to meet Andy at Baywatch. We were the first customers of the morning so had a nice chat and got to here the history of how Andy came to St. Marten and how it's changed over the yrs. Told him we live on a farm in Va; and he said he missed his home grown vegs. Wish we could send him some of ours now. What a great guy. Good breakfast. Customers start trickling in and he knows them all and starts talking to them so we head on back to our beach. We decide to drive towards Marigot and then head on to Baie Rouge. Great beach and we spend a couple of hrs. there. We stop in Marigot and shop at the market, making several nice purchases before heading on to Friar's beach. O.k. but not as nice as Baie Rouge. We then go on to Loterie farm and have lunch there which wad GREAT! Perfect setting and nice meal. Our drink was almost too pretty! Headed back to Orient and spent an hr. on the beach befor heading to the room.

Thursday: Had croissants at Tap 5 (see a pattern starting to form) and then stayed at Wakiki for a few hrs. Very windy so decided to head out to Grand Case for lunch. Ate at Talk of the Town...great ribs and slaw and topped off with coconut ice cream (yum)! Drove to Anse Marsel beach which took a while due to construction but worth it. Great secluded beach (for now) and well worth it. Headed back to shower and then drove back to Grand Case to Le Cottage and had a wonderful meal, I had veal and husband had beef. Our most expensive meal at about$140 but very good. Onto Orient and another perfect night.

Friday:Breakfast at Baywatch again then sand gravity at Wakiki. Wind was bad but still enjoyed it. Had a great pain killer at Boo Boo Jams. We opted for dinner at Big Fish in Oyster Bay which was perfect. We ate outside and the weather was great. Had maki mahi and ribs and shared a coconut shrimp appetizer that was to die for!

Saturday: Up early for our last croissants and walked on the beach. Packed and drove to the airport, checked our bags and then drove to Peg Leg Pub for lunch. Great fish n chips and cold caribes. Did a little gamblimg before turning the phone and car in and then off to the airrport and an uneventful flight home.

Thanks again to everyone on this board. It was evident to my husband how much I knew before I left. I was so prepared and was not surprised by anything due to the wonderful suggestions from all of you. I loved St Martin and will be back! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Joy.gif" alt="" />
