Monday Nov 12th 3AM alarm goes off. Driver picks us up at 430AM. Arrive at Newark airport an hour later to meet our American 8am flight to San Juan then into Beef Island (only one of our three bags showed , but they did arrive on the next AA flight -we did wait at the airport for the next flight) and ferry over to Virgin Gorda - took the North Sound 430pm ferry. Rented a car from L and S rentals and car was waiting at the dock. Have to mention car was on E, but the driver did leave 10 bucks in the car for us to get some gas. We followed the driver over to Mango Bay where we were staying for 9 days. Gino the General Manager was waiting for us and took us over to our room and did a little tour of the grounds. We unpacked and got comfortable… (Into shorts and sandals) and out for some FOOD. We were starving! No food all day and it was about 7pm. We stopped at Dixie’s (casual local eatery)-which was very good, but I must admit at that point you could have fed me airplane food and I would said it was the best food I ever had. I just had a burger and my husband had steak.

Tuesday Nov 13th Our 9 year anniversary. It was a little overcast (the only day out of our 9 days). We had breakfast at Fisher’s Cove which was just ok. The location was nice though, right on the beach. Did a little food shopping. Went to Savannah Bay to relax for awhile. We had a fantastic dinner at Giorgio’s Table.

Wednesday Nov 14th. We made prior arrangements for a day sail to Anegada. We reserved it with the BEYC. $85.00 pp with lunch at the Big Bamboo. My husband did want the lobster and the charged him an extra $15.00 bucks. Well worth it, he said it was the best lobster he ever had. The color of the water was just magical! We had dinner at the Bath & Turtle (casual pub style food). Food was decent, but the service was sloooow. To the waitress’s defense she was the only one there and it was pretty crowded PLUS she was doing laundry.

Thursday Nov 15th Went to Leverick Bay for some shopping and a drink. Had dinner at the Mine Shaft. I read that it was 2 for 1 margaritas. When we received the bill we were charged for both drinks (6 bucks a piece). I bought it to the waitress’s attention and she just asked me “where did you see that”. I told her in one of our brochures. She just said “Oh, ok” and gave us a new bill. I thought the food was ok.

Friday Nov 16th Of course one day you must hit the Baths and decided today would be the day. We left about 8:00am and were the first people to arrive. I only had a $20 bill so the cashier was not able to give us change. He said just pay on your way out, which we did. We both have been to the Bath’s before on a day that was cloudy. OMG the sun makes such a difference! We had the entire beach to ourselves. Devils Bay is just gorgeous. Around 1030am swarms of people were coming in on boats and by foot. One boat had over 25 people! I looked at my husband and with out even saying a word we began to pack up our stuff. We stopped at Spring Bay which I though was gorgeous too. We had lunch at the Dog and Dolphin. Which was so so. Stopped for a drink at the Top of the Baths. We had dinner at the Rock Café. Very good. Excellent piano players. (We even saw our rental car driver in the lounge and he came over and shook my husband’s hand). We had requested a seat by the water falls, but they put us outside right by the doors. The service was very poor. We did have a new waitress. She said it was her first night (oh great, I thought). We ordered a bottle of wine and she only filled our glass once. We poured the rest of it ourselves. The food was very good. We did return another night and had a much better experience with the service.

Saturday Nov 17th Had breakfast at the Flying Iguana. The food was pretty good and enjoyed watching the couple planes take off and land. I tell you the waiter was, how can I put it …kinda out there. One of the things that he said that we thought was funny was he said “the rain’s coming”. I asked him “when”? And he answered “Tuesday”. We were expecting him to say that day sometime or even the next day. (Not 3 days from now). We went to the Bath and Turtle for dinner.

Sunday Nov 18th Went to Little Dix Bay for a couple hours-very pretty beach with a lot of shade. We were actually going to go to Leverick bay for dinner, but we needed some things from the grocery store and were not sure if the one in Leverick bay was still open so we went to Bucks because we knew they were open to 8pm and figured we go there first and head back over to the other side of the island for dinner. Well, we noticed the Cowboys were on at the Bath and Turtle and decided we would just get some pizza and a salad and watch the game.

Monday Nov 19th R and R – Dinner at Leverick Bay.

Tuesday Nov 20th Our last full day :O( Had breakfast at Fishers Cove again. I mentioned the food was just ok, but we wanted to go for the view. We did the beach thing again-Savannah Bay. (went through 4 books). Tried the Rock Café again . Got our seats by the water fall…we had an experienced waitress and delicious food. All was good! When I called to make our reservations the Hostess remembered us from the other night. (Gee hope we didn’t make too much of a fool of ourselves for her to remember us-LOL)

Wednesday Nov 21st-Travel Day and Sad day Took the 1130am ferry back to beef Island. Our flight was not until 430pm. We did check in our bags and paid for our departure tax. We headed over to Trellis Bay and had lunch at the Deloose Mongoose. We connected in San Juan. Ugg, whata zoo! The lines for immigration were ridiculous. I really shouldn’t complain because “Hello” we are traveling on one of the busiest travel days! (Day before Turkey day). We had a 2 hour delay in PR. Finally got home at 100am.

I wish I knew how to post the pictures because I have countless pics. I have them on a disk….if anyone can clue me in as to how to put them on the site, I would be happy to!
