I know its cheesy and the "Disney" version of Africa, but has anyone been there? I'd be travelling with my husband who likes to gamble and a 4 year old who now thinks every vacation should include a place with a beach or pool and a kids club. This is my vacation ( bday trip) but I would like for her to have some fun too. I would like to go sleep in a tent and have a real experience but I think I may have to settle for this for now.
Any comments, thoughts or alternatives?
Thanks.

Sun City is great fun. Like a Vegas, but smaller and I think classier.
There is a fantastic artificial wave pool and beach.
Very close to SS is Pilansburg game reserve. You can drive in on your own, and they can organize tours for you. They have all the big animals you will want to see.

There are a lot of options from rustic tents to Tshukudu (up market - game drives included, etc.) Your 4 year old will have an excellent time, and husband will also have great fun.

Thank you. I'm having a tough time deciding on where to go in the world. I've been many places but never Asia, Africa or South America. If I decide on Africa, I think this is a good option for us for now. I really appreciate that information.
