We arrived March 23, 2008 aboard U.S. Air, Dayton to Charlotte to Aruba. I chatted with Tom Noland, U.S. Bankrupcty Trustee from Dayton, on the flight to Charlotte. We ate dinner at Cleo's, at the Alhambra Casino.

On Monday, the Easter week parties continued , with numerous tents on the beaches. There was a concert at the ball diamond at Baby Beach, and the beach was filled with people. I visited Boca Grandi beach, Eagle Beach and the California lighthouse. That evening, Roslyn did the slots tournament at the Alhambra. I won $21 at blackjack, while my wife took Bill and Sharon, our friends from Cleveland, to her favorite slot machine, where Bill immediately won $960!
The next day we shopped for groceries and had a terrific meal with Bill and Sharon at Charlie's Bar in San Nicholas. The scrimp and scallops were fabulous!
After the Divi Village cocktail party I lost at blackjack $20 of the $21 I had won the night before. Par for the course!
The next day I took the coastal road to Dos Playa, but had to stop a mile short due to road construction.
Thursday I climbed the Hooiberg for the third time and as I was going down the approximate 500 steps met bird watchers on the way up. I attempted to get to Dos Playa by taking road 4 to road 7 in Santa Cruz, but after driving about a mile into the Arikok Park was again stopped by road construction. I was lucky to be able to turn around to get back out. I guess you can't get there from here! Visited Palm Beach, Eagle Beach etc.
Friday Roslyn won 4500 nickels at the Alhambra, so she ended up on the plus side. I took pictures in various places, including boats in Oranjestad.
We flew U.S. Air back to Chicago, flying over our home in Ohio, and then back to Dayton. Great trip! See you in St. Martin next year! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/dine.gif" alt="" />
