Yes our first week was a windy one but it did not stop us from doing anything we had planned really. This was our second trip to SXM and the first time we have stayed any where for two weeks. We would not do two weeks again, two
seperate trips would be ideal. The following are a just a few
highlights:
Celene Pub Crawl was lots of fun, it was great to see all the super yachts and Neil and the crew were great. Peg Leg
Pub was our favorite stop.

12 Meter Challenge was quite an experience, I'm glad I was
chosen as bartender and timer rather than doing a real job.
We sailed the True North to victory over Stars and Stripes,
the four of us were the only Canadians so we were very proud

The day we went to Orient was very windy which made for an
interesting swim but not a great day for just sitting on the beach. A visit to Baywatch was the highlight. My husband
and brother each presented Andy with a new plate and we were lucky to arrive on New Jersey Dip day, roast beef on garlic bread with slaw and fries, it was yummy.

Some other yummy meals included Paris Bistro, Sapranos,SSBB
and of course Rosy's Ribs at Mullet. We stayed at the Sonesta Maho so these were very conveniently located. The
Sonesta I know would not be the first choice for many of you but coming from Toronto it is reasonably priced and a
better deal than arranging airfare on it's own. We had no
issues with this property and this is where we stayed last time as well. Jeff Abott was a great entertainer at Sapranos
Piano Bar, if your in the area check him out.

For my sister in law and I another great day included a trip to DK Gems. Jeff looked after all four of us and
my darling husband got me the most beautiful diamond earrings. Lucky girl!

Anguilla is now on our list of places to stay, our day trip
via the ferry was wonderful and no doubt the best part of our second week. We took a taxi to Shoal Bay East to Gwen's
Reggae Bar, it was very quiet because Gwen's mother had
recently passed away. The beach there was beautiful, we
snorkeled and swam all day long and didn't want to leave.

We had never experienced Mullet with waves so it was quite something the day we went and couldn't even get in the water. It was so much fun watching people try to get in the
water and getting hit by waves. Jenna a fellow TTOL'er said
hello one day at Mullet but that was the only time TTOL was
referenced other than at DK gems(my husband wore a TTOL hat)

It was the first trip for my brother and sister in law so they really got a kick out of the planes, I got a great photo of an Air France coming in and another flying right
over us. We made a quick stop to the boat bar and yes indeedy the mango coladas are the best.

It was a great trip for all of us and we had no problems
over the entire two weeks. I was a bit stressed as we got closer to leaving about what and how much to tell my brother
about some of the things we learned about the island with
being on TTOL but there was never a feeling of uncetainty
about going anywhere, we never felt unsafe.

Thanks to all of you who really helped to make our trip a
memorable one, we appreciate all the work that goes into
making this site the value it is.

Happy travels
