So, there has been a lot of interest in the new restaurants / bars north of Pedro's, on many levels. So, pick the week (a Monday, to be exact) that you predict the first establishment will open (the day would be a bit much). The reward for being the winner is...to be the freaking winner!!! If multiple people pick the same week then the winner will be the person that picked it first.

I predict December 14.

We're hoping they open back up while we're there in Nov. Would love our kids to experience OB with something other than construction. So I'll pick Nov 16

November 13 - when we arrive it would be great to have a casual beach bar dinner before we crash after a day of traveling.

I'll take the January 12, 2016. Certainly hope all of our friends get back to work sooner. Sort of lost the desire to visit Orient without the smaller beach bars at the present time.

I'm going with October 29 as we arrive October 28.

Can I hope for a soft opening, or preview week, for the Monday after we arrive? October 26th!
Short of that, I'll double down on the next Monday whilst we are still on island, November 2!

I think a whole bunch of people, myself included, did not stick to a Monday. Here's wishing it will be ready by the middle of May when the "off" season begins. Looking at the construction practices in the photos posted here, I'm just wishing that it doesn't blow away by then.

I think y'all are CRAZY!!! The question should be what YEAR these units will open for business!! Has everyone forgotten "Island Time"???

I'm not trying to be nasty or cynical - we're several months into this process and we've got demolition complete (oh wow!) and we've got one foundation in. We've got walls to pour and set, roofs to build, electricity, plumbing, HVAC, restaurant equipment installation, parking lots, road, landscaping, etc, etc.

This is mid-late 2016 for sure!

We are leaving SXM Nov 14, so skeptic that I am, I would guess Nov 16.

On the other hand we'll be back in March, so one hopes they'll be open by then.
