We are heading to Italy for the first time and were wondering if it is safe to drink the water from the faucet? If we order hot tea would there be any problems?

I suppose there might be places where the water is unsafe, but we certainly encountered no problems in Rome, Tuscany, or Venice.

Now the water in the canals in Venice, that's another matter... <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Yikes.gif" alt="" />
