Sitting in a cafe in Trogir, Croatia picking up a 38 Beneteau for a week tommorow. I will post when there is wifi available. So far it's been a great trip we Flew overnight into Rome spent one night and full day there at a Hot near the Pantheon. We flew into Croatia this morning and have been hanging out all day doing taste testing of various beers to do we can make sound provisioning decisions. So far I am very impressed with the town and the people.

Stay tuned. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/toast.gif" alt="" />

We are in Paris now for a few days the trip was great. I have a ton of pictures and will write a proper report when I get back to St Thomas.

We are planning a Croatia charter in September 2016. Can't wait to read your trip report. Were the beers good?

Dave-I'm not a beer drinker, though didn't hear my husband complaining. The ,local white wine was surprisingly good and decently priced though. Well worth a try.

If you are wine drinkers definitely try the Croatian Reds

There is a grape called Crljenak Kaštelanski (most just call it Crljenak – pronounced Try zurl-yen-ak)

It is the DNA parent to three wines that are a little more popular – Zinfandel (US), Primitivo (Italy), and Plavac Mali (Croatian).

I have had Crljenak a couple times and it is ok, but oh my - Plavac Mali is wonderful! It is a big red so most of the time it definitely needs to be decanted.

Just like any other wine you can find them at all price levels. If you want to splurge one night treat yourself to special meal and give Plavac Mali a shot.

But most of all enjoy the trip!

Judging from all the Karlovackos, the stories should be good!

Mrs Monkey Feet, we are also planning a one way charter from Trogir to Dubrovnik on a Bavaria 45, in September - love to compare some notes, hear more from Captain Jay and I know I have a few questions for Eva. It's always fun planning ahead.

Jay have you had time for a trip report. We are booked on an ASA flotilla out of Trogir last week of June and would be interested in any information you can share.
Thanks.

Trogir is fascinating. Lovely little alleyways and enough restaurants to eat in a different place every night for a weeks. Enjoy.
