We just returned from a weeks trip planned on the spur of the moment. Picked a good week if you like hurricanes, condo fiasco and a car break-in.

Omar was enough to ruin the trip but plenty has been said about that un-invited guest.

We stayed at Rainbow Beach Club and while it is a nice location with nice units.. the management there is a shade below terrible. W/O going into a lot of detail will tell you that we had a pre-fire ( forlack of a better term) in our unit. Mgmt could not respond properly as no one on property had any keys. Due to a lck of trust as we found out later. The closest housing the AC unit was over packed and the unit could not ventilate and had a bag of charcoal and lighter fluid slammed up against it. We were moved to another unit on the 3rd floor w/o it being checked out and had no water or power. The generator for this property is located on the lowest level of this property inviting future disaster with a bigger storm. Met several full-time residents there who are not at all happy with the mgmt. We understand why !!

Bugs and skeeters were the worse we have ever encountered in 15 or so trips.

On Sat we were having breakfast at Baywatch before heading to the airport and some [censored].... ran a tool thru are trunk. Did not get anything but caused complications and made a bad week even worse.

A few positives.. first time ever staying on the Dutch side.. loved Cheri's cafe, the outdoor cafe at the Atlantis was good for breakfast. Wouldnt say much for the Cupecoy Market.. they think BBQ sauce is ketchup!

Anyway we survived.. on and we had flight issues with Delta both ways.. but that is another story. Lastly, the weather channel did a TERRIBLE job with there forecasts on Omar. Despite all, will be returning soon.. not all trips can be great.
