Wow 1st of all thanx to all the wonderful people on TA and TTOL who provided info for our trip.
Briefly:
The No's No crime, No bad meals, No sunburn. No TIME to see all the beaches! Made 5 out of 30!! Sand gravity is a killer, especially with rum runners, Gberry coladas(don't forget the nutmeg), Painkillers (the wife's fav).I was leary as all who read this board over the past 6-12 months. Never felt unsafe or ill at ease. Didn't stay out really late or do anything I wouldn't at home. Busby's great Breakfast and lunch. Big Fish good not great (except the Hurricane shrimp). Pedro's great ribs and fish sandwich. The best beach meal was the comfort food and company of Andy and Cheryl at Baywatch. Cod flown in for the fish and chips YUMMO. Spiga's was great Lara and Ciro's meal was great, Lobster ravioli and the Wine she chose for us was great. Shopped at Afoo Extra, not bad, but better produce and selection at LeGrandmarche the better one in in Cole Bay, Gorgeous.More later
The Yes's: Yes mosquitos Stayed above Oyster bay at Paradiso(nice)seeters at night and thru the day breeze regardless. Yes I would come again, no doubt. Yes expensive, without the 1$=1E, it is high. Left my daughters at the villa to gamble No worry as they say. Had a gate and caretaker lived on premises (2 great dogs who befriended us immediately. Caution was for driving NW around GC to Oyster Bay at night. curves and minimal streetlight after dark and after 2 bottles of wine, AN adventure! Best beach was GC by far 20 people on it from mid day to sunset, clean safe and the smells were phenomenal. Horses and Zip @ Loterie too. More and pix to come. Thanks again to all my friends on TTOL and TA. Kevin
