Stayed at the Rui Place in Carbo San Lucas. The resort is located right on the beach with a vista of the Famous Stone Arch. A lot of cruise ships anchor next to it and tender into the town. On the Beach at the Rui you can also get a boat to tender over to the arch and the beach there called lovers beach. The Beach in front of the RUI is swim at your own risk. High waves and an undertow most of the time. We were with a large group(86) and some of the more adventuresome members of the group went in. Several got pulled in an took a real tumbling. They ended up with a bathing suit full of sand. Some went in more than once even after getting pulled out. Walking on the beach was tough as you sank in about 4 inches with every step.

The Hotel itself was beautiful most if not all rooms had ocean view. The mini refrigerator was stocked with soda, beer and water. Above the Refrigerator a dispensor with a fifth of Rum, Tiquela Brandy and Wiskey was available. The water in the bathroom was not potable.

We are at 3 of the specialty resturants Mexican, Steak HOuse and Japan. The were good but not outstanding. The best was the Japanese(sp)
We booked as a group with Apple Vacations We are from the New England area so each travel day was over 15 hours. A real pain. Flights were good though.
We took 2 tours with the group 1 to Totas San Lucas a town with art & museums focus. There we ate at Hotel California it was a good meal better than what you usually get with a tour. The trip of the week was the Sunset Cruise with a Whale Watch. They downplayed the possibility of seeing whales this time of the year. But while we only saw a few Whales the put on quite a show.
We went to the Town of Carbo San Lucas shopping. Its bigger than most cruise ports losts of Bars including Gigling Marlin, Cabo Waba, Hooters, Hard Rock and many more. Again many of the group did the Night Club Crawl one said Girls Gone Wild Live.
The Rui has a sister hotel behind it that the said was full of spring breakers. It seemed more like a nice but lower priced hotel alternative. While there were some young people at both hotels there was not a lot of spring break activity.
The weather was great the big suprise is no humidity very comfortable for Mexico in Late March.
PS Several people in the group booked other tours with the Apple reps. Not many felt they got much benifit from booking with them.
