The following recipe is an old family secret and it IS incredible! Note: The recipe name shouldn't be a turn-off as it's due to the sour cream used in the recipe. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" />

Sour Noodle Bake

1-16 oz. pkg. wide noodles
1 lb. ground beef
1 red onion, chopped
1 yellow bell pepper, chopped
Dash of garlic powder, season salt and black pepper
1-15 oz. can tomato sauce
1-1/2 c. cottage cheese
1 c. sour cream
1 sm. can black olives
1-8 oz. package shredded Cheddar Cheese

While the noodles are cooking, brown the ground beef in a large skillet with the red onion, bell pepper, garlic pepper, season salt and pepper. Drain and then add the tomato sauce, cottage cheese, sour cream and sliced black olives. Stir well and continue to heat until it bubbles.

Next, in a casserole dish, layer the (drained) noodles and meat mixture; half the noodles first followed by half the meat mixure and repeat; ending with the meat mixture on top.

Lastly, cover meat mixture with shredded Cheddar cheese and bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

Serve with a nice crusty bread and perhaps a small side salad.

YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Clapping.gif" alt="" />

P.S. Carol, you have my permission to skip the black olives. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" />

That's another keeper... would be great after a late fall sailboat race!
