The day started off to the sound of a drill boring its way through concrete followed by some banging, and this was even before coffee had been consumed. It settled down after a while and we were able to enjoy breakfast on our balcony before heading off to Grand Case. Hubby wanted to buy a bug zapper, just in case mosquitoes invade, and we needed to buy a couple for friends who think they are neat. We headed across the causeway and just by the French border encountered Gendarmes, they had a car pulled over but did not stop us. One standing by the side of the road was quite well armed. I will add at this point that on the way back, they had gone. We picked up a few things at Carrefour before heading back and having lunch; hubby had left-over pizza from last night and I made myself a sandwich which necessitated another trip to the market later because I forgot to buy Mayo After lunch hubby made a batch of margaritas and we toddled off to the pool to relax and soak up some sun. We spent a couple of hours there then headed off for Happy Hour at the The Dream Bar, where guavaberry coladas became the drink of choice for me. Steve is managing the bar during the week and it was good seeing him again; we are planning on visiting Marty's place for dinner one night this week. Dinner was shared fajitas at 3 Amigos.
For wine lovers, Maho Market has a deal on Yellow Tail wine, $9.95 a bottle - buy 2 and get one free, which isn't bad.

islandgem said: What was all the banging about? Not a nice way to start the day! Thanks for the update and keep having fun. Hubby says they are doing commercial renovations below us. So far this morning all is quiet On a different note, I loaded some photos to Photobucket last night, if I can only get it to work. It was running super slow and not co-operating. Will try again today to get them posted.
