When I arrived on 1/30, I posted that wifi in rooms was sketchy at best and fine in the lobby. I was staying in room #310 (hill view). As of yesterday, I am in room #703 (nearer the front/side) and the wifi seems to be fine in the room so far. Room location does make a difference.

You must be near a repeater that they have set up in the corridors near the elevators

You are correct. My location is directly across from the elevator.
