Friends are thinking of going to SBR in the summer. Is there a rating of the preferable buildings best to worst? And what is the construction situation there? Thanks

We prefer the top 2 floors of the upper B building for the views. The rooms a re very spacious too. There is, however, quite a hike up the hill. Most units in C & D no longer have a good view.

The rooms (1 BR's) are pretty well identical with differences only in the size of the deck and the view and even the view in some buildings is dependent on what floor you are on. Some studios have less than stellar views and others in the same building are acceptable...

Construction should be limited to the Marina area but the rooms are completed. Also soon to start is a revamp of the F building so that will become a busy area.

Hard to suggest a certain building....for example the upper B building has rooms with fantastic views and some studios with views only of the parking lot.

Personally, the original Marina building is the best (NOT the newer Villas). The Marina bldg is centrally located, the 1 BRs have great views and there is no trek up the hill to deal with. Parking is mostly covered and very convenient to your room.

Nothing can beat the views from the Villas. Stayed there for several years now and we love it.

Thanks everyone. Just received text from friend stating he's staying at the Simpson Bay Resort Villas in a 2 bedroom ocean view unit. Are these the newer units right up from BBB?
