Never done it and since our week is available next year, we are thinking of letting it be rented out.

Has anyone done this and whats to be expected? Does it make sense to do it?

There are various links in the second page of the FAQ link. You can also list it in the classified page too.

Have not rented ours out but have rented available units through a 3rd party. Makes sense to cover your maintenance fee if you can. Resorts handle this differently but you may have to pay them a fee to rent out.

Is it RCI/II Affiliated? I had dropped RCI for a while, but honestly I find it worth it, bank your week, use it elsewhere but it also opens up to other vacations of you have the time to go away

Check out redweek.com. We've rented ours using that site for several years.

I don't think this can be discussed openly on this forum. Best to PM the OP.

I have RCI points at La Terasse. Not weeks 3 or 4, but a few weeks later.

We usually go every 3-4 years and otherwise exchange for skiing and other places. But I was debating booking our usual week and having someone rent next year. I was just curious if anyone would recommend it or not.

And if you do recommend it, is it for just covering costs or do some here feel they do it for profit?

Thank you all for your feedback.

With so many privately owned units there and the ability to book direct through the resort or VRBO/Homeaway/Airbnb I think I would bank and use elsewhere.

My daughter just booked a one bedroom for ten days at the Flamingo through an owner for Xmas week. Used VRBO to find it. Top floor ocean front.
List it on various sites and see what happens.
