We discovered a small laundry in the commercial strip next to Leader Price. Didn't use them, but I think that's now the closest to orient. There's also a laundry on the ring road, just past Grand Case, on the (unmarked) turn-off to Happy Bay, just past the "ecole maternelle", on the right-hand side of the road.

HI, when you say small laundry, do you mean self service - if yes what coins to bring - or do you mean a drop service and you come back the next day?

Thanks
J&B

I mean a place where you drop off your stuff and come back to get it, clean. Both of those I mentioned seem to be of that sort.

While the physical laundry is no longer in the village the service is still there. It is called Orient Expressing and is affiliated with the restaurant
l'Petit Bistro. The dop off box is behind the restaurant. Hours are 8-12 and 3-7. Sebastian the owner of the restaurant told us about it.. There is also one in the plaza beside Leader Price. If you are lucky enough to be staying at O'Paradis , Bruno and Geraldine have installed a washing machine for the use of their guests.

That's great news about a washing machine available at Paradis O. Bruno is always thinking of his guests.

Bruno is the best, where did they put the washing machine? Is it close to the bungalows or up at Bruno and Geraldine's?
Thanks

The washing machine is up the driveway between the villa and Bruno's house. No charge, you just need to supply detergent. Geraldine gave us a laundry basket to use. We had a drink with Bruno the other night and he said he was thinking of putting another machine at the bungalow level. He is also thinking of getting another barbecue so that there will be 2 to share. Bruno and Geraldine take great care of their guests.

Thanks, We have enjoyed staying there for years, they always seem so busy we hate to bother them. If you are still on the island tell them Dave and Michele from Pittsburgh said hello
