Any suggestions for when to book flights? Heading down for Thanksgiving week so we have plenty of time to get everything settled.

We're heading down April 24 thru May 10 and purchased tickets about a month ago for $500 rt, DTW to STT on AA. I've been watching fares since and at almost exactly 8 weeks out, the fares dropped $100. Having said that, if we had waited until now to buy tickets, I think I'd be very nervous and "nervous" is not what I'm looking for in vacation planning. You could also try the idea of clearing out your cookies and buying on Tuesday. Your milage may vary.

https://matrix.itasoftware.com/ is still my go to tool for checking fares. I think buy direct from the airline. Thanksgiving week is a busy time and we tend to book that travel pretty early. We've been many times this week due to my kids school schedule. The frequent flyer tix from our airports get snapped up the day they are available. JetBlue has not posted their prices yet, so they are worth keeping an eye on. The general rule about buying 100-120 days out for best prices does not work for us for holiday weeks. If it were me, I'd buy the tickets as early as possible with the itinerary you want. Keep in mind, if you fly through STT, that the airport will be holiday busy on the weekends before and after Thanksgiving. Cheers, RickG

Watching Thanksgiving prices too. They are always more expensive because of holiday. I am hoping to book in the next month. Hopper is a good app for monitoring.

I bought our tickets (from the US - not over the Atlantic) yesterday, for mid/late April.
ORD-MIA-STT $175 STT-PHL-ORD $225
Have been checking fares for a while and finally it was decent.
