Today went to B’fast at the Marlin restaurant ( yeah I know but it was the only place opened early) and the b’fast was so so. Any how there is a fence 20’ form or hotel walkway. On the other side of this fence is the walkway to the entrance to the Manuel Antonio National Park. Tour busses were dropping of people EARLY. And this was our plan to visit this park today. $10 PP for non CR resident entry fee. Lots of fauna, monkeys, crabs, spiders etc. and a beautiful beach area. Since this is a park there are no vendors. There is 1 water spicket to drink from at the beach area and that is all. The trail up has a lot of stones in it, there is a lot of well placed Johnny on the spots and on the trail down/around is just a sandy trail that comes out on the beach close to our hotel ( which worked out fine since the rains finally came. So off to the hotel to claen up across the street in between downpours to the lolo for some chicken and a few beers and mangos.

Ok this topic keeps popping up DUI

Talking with a bartender AND a born and bred person from CR he told me this If a CR resident blows a .1 or more the police take the car and the person. The resident gets 5 years in jail. If you are a tourist 2 years in jail. He also said he never knew or heard of a tourist going to jail.

On the flip side. Seems everything here is not close,San Jose ( airport), q\Quepos area, area of porte Verdi, resorts and inclusive resorts in the North west area. But if all the areas are like Quepos busses are cheap and plentiful ( $6 for the ride PP from San Jose to Quepos) , taxis are cheap too and plentiful.
And inn San Jose you have to be crazy to drive, and busses and taxis are plentiful and cheap there. I can see no reason to think about renting a car because it will cost you more money.

That’s all folks on this topic.

Went to La Cantina for dinner. This restaurant has a railcar in front and next to the road a large fire pit that the chef drags coals as needed to his BBQ grill to cook. The interior design is the same as Le Aviaon ( a sister restaurant ). Service at dinner was non existent and the food was all over cooked. Wife was wanting to leave before I was ( that is how bad it was. After searching for 20 minutes to get the bill and pay it we headed out. In front by the rail car a 4 piece band just started playing.. I like the music so we sat down and listened. After 6 songs no one stopped and asked if we wanted anything to drink ( or at the 8 other tables of people listening to the band.) Why might this be significant? All the waiters had to pass all the tables to get to the chef at the grill. Oh well, it 9:30 and we’re tired so bus back to the hotel.
