What is the law regarding child car seats? Will be traveling with a 5 and 7 year old child this spring.

Child seats are required on both French and Dutch sides. I don't know the specifics of the laws but the rental companies do and they have seats available upon request.

Hi, Chic and Lynn,

Sounds like a family trip in April. They're the best.

Re the car seats, and given the ages of the kids, and since they'll have their own seats on the plane, did you consider bringing their booster seats from home? Might be easier and certainly less costly in the end and you'll know exactly what you've gotten then. I believe they can be gate-checked as you board if you choose not to use them on the plane.

Perhaps this year our paths will cross on island time. We're there 15, 16 and most of 17. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" />

Respectfully,

pat

We used to bring the booster, check at gate. Glad that and the car seat days are over this year!

Thanks Pat. Sounds like a good idea. We are at BSV 4/15-23 than Sapphire for two weeks. Hope to see you this time. Our son and family who live in Brookfield will be joining us at BSV.
