We will be taking 2 48' powercats to Anegada in May. There will be 15 of us and we are only staying 1 night. I would like some suggestions on where to go and how to get around the island.

Loblolly Bay, for swimming and nice snorkeling from the beach; and a lunch at Big Bamboo.

Cow Wreck bar, for a painkiller in the afternoon.

The WonkyDog or Lobster Trap for lobsters and wine, in the evening.

1. Rent a car or truck from dean Whitney. I posted his email address previously. Write to him and set something up. He will suggest some things. Consider cow wreck beach for lunch. Wonky dog for dinner.

We have always had dinner at Neptune's Treasure and it has never disappointed.

Dean's number is 284-495-9677 or 284-544-3703.

What information are you looking for that was not already offered in response to your previous request two weeks ago?

We had dinner at wonky dog last month during our bareboat charter, was the best dinner of the trip. We also rented car from Dean W. for two days, everything was really good with that too. ditto on loblolly and cow wreck.

Anegada Beach Club for sure. Excellent food & incomparable location. We found it by accident when we arrived at Cow Wreck to find it closed and liked it so much we're considering dropping the hook on the boat & staying in one of the "luxury tents". This NEVER HAPPENS. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Laugh.gif" alt="" /> It's that nice.

If I can't be a good example, I'll just have to be a horrible warning. [Linked Image]

Agreed. Those tents are sweet. After we left most of the guys in my crew were trying to puzzle out the logistics of an Anegada getaway with their wives and SO's. The bar that overlooks the beach is beautiful as well.

Macc - I think the best way to get around the island, particularly if you have a larger group, is to rent a truck with bench seats in the back from Dean (I gave his numbers above). You can get around the island with 8-people and their gear this way, pretty cheaply. No cover from the sun for those in the back tho...
