Has anyone been? I am trying to decide between Culebra and Holbox as an "off the beaten track" trip for my son and I that won't break the bank. Having never been I'm looking for any thoughts on the two (or any other suggestions besides Jamaica and DR). I have lots of love for the BVI, but is just out of the budget this year, and these two look to be significantly less expensive. Been to Tulum, Playa, Cozumel, Progresso- and Holbox looks great- just want to make sure!

Good evening. I not sure you will get much information from this board concerning your question. Check out TripAdvisor for candid reviews of both locales.

IF you decide on Holbox, please insist that your son write a detailed trip report of the experience.
