The day began with a walk the length of the beach. Surprised to see so many birds once we left Divi & Belair properties and on to the open part where projected condos have still not been built. Breakfast on our lanai and watched Mein Shieff dock at Pointe Blanche.

Rest of the day uneventful. Amazing how time flies and the only movement you've made is to pry yourself from a chaise to go to the bathroom! This year is a bit different for us because hubby's recovering from Basel Cell Cancer on his nose and temple and must stay out of the sun. That's easier said than done.

Slathered with zinc we drove to LeGalion to watch some friends from Maine parasail. What fun! Then we drove back thru Oyster Pond and stopped to visit Carol at her store, Epecerie Gormand. Nicely stocked with all one needs if staying in the area at a place like Les Balcons; wine, cooked chicken, coffee, water etc and ready made sandwiches.

Avoided the "lottery people" from the Westin. They actually run in front of the car to get you to stop.

Dinner at Ocean 82 was devine! Hubby had beef fillet and I had duck breast with figs, washed down wth a bottle of Puilly Fuisse wine, topped off with lime glacee--- too full for anything else for desert. Their homemade ginger rum ended the meal nicely. They did not give 1:1 bill was $104.

No set in stone plan for Thursday except dinner. Joining Carol at her old restaurant now named Le Petite Table to determine if food is as good as L"Estaminet used to be.

Sounds like a perfect day. Is Ina the chef at Le Petite Table?

No, Ina is the chef now at Le Chanticlair in Marigot.

In my opinion, Carole is what made L'Estaminet what it was. Yes, Ina's food was spectacular, but Carole's presence is what made the place what it was for us.
