Couple of questions. When we arrive in RT on ferry how do we get to the Moorings dock? Walk, taxi or does Moorings pick you up?

Looks like at the end of our charter, power boats have to be in by 10am but sailboats at noon? Why? 10am is a lot tougher than noon!

We decided to stay at Sebastians on the West End for the last day to unwind and not have to rush for flights. Figure we'll get the ferry back to STT out of WE instead of RT. Should we take a taxi from Moorings to Sebastians and then another from Sebastians to WE ferry or rent a car in RT and next morning just go back to RT and get the ferry there? There are 6 of us. Looks like taxi is $15 per person just to Sebastians and a rental car is about $55.

I think it depends on where you rent a car from. We stayed 3 nights post charter at Sebastian's in November. We rented a car in Road Town and had to return it there. I'm pretty sure I saw a rental car agency closer to Sebastian's and West End (Denzel's?). However, for night if it were me, I'd just take a taxi. Less time spent with logistics.

Thanks CottageGirl. I've rented from Denzel before, would still need taxi to get to him so might as well continue over the hill to Sebastians unless Denzel picks you up in RT. If it were up to me, I wouldn't be so concerned with all the added expenses I keep coming up with. Being the "planner/organizer" for the group sucks! Everyone is on such a tight budget and I gave them all estimated costs I'm trying to stick too. I've decided to kick in more to the pot to cover extras but I'm only able and willing to do so much.

For more than one night..rent a car..Denzil or Jerry or D and D at the bottom of Zion Hill..but for just one night might as well cab it..one extra tip... I would stroll down the road to The Sugar Mill ( make a reservation) for your very special final night dinner..

On our last trip (in 2013 -- too long ago!) the Moorings picked us up at the ferry dock. But they charged us for it just like a taxi, and we had to wait for other potential passengers to exit the terminal. Next time I think I'd ignore them and hop in a cab, especially since there's a taxi company a few steps north of the ferry.
