Off to Dreams today. Arrived 9am and was greeted by Georges. Started with bloody marys and a bottle of water. Settled into lounges and went for a swim---should I say, wade. Relaxed until 1200 then Maxim led us to our table, Chicken wings to start. Hubby had entrecôte with pomp frites and I had the special pork medallions with truffles and fingerling potatoes, all washed down with a bottle of Puilly followed by espresso and the taste of house rum.

Sated, we went back to our loungers to nap. We just returned to our condo at 4:30 pm. A great day! I believe today's meal was the best so far this trip.

If anyone is thinking of going to Dreams Georges said it will be closed to the public Thursday for a private party.

We were there for lunch at noon on Tuesday as well. We were on the way to the airport for our flight home and stopped for one last great meal. We park the car near the restaurant and tell the staff our luggage is in it. As we were flying, we had a simple lunch. Pizza Landaise which was the pizza of the day for Peter and Bo Bun salad for me. Both were delicious. We love having that last look over the water as we prepare to head home.

I can't blame you for wanting a 'last meal' at Dreams, and I personally love that bo bun salad! Can't say I would be very confident leaving my luggage in the car there though, as even the closest parking space is not very close to where any of the staff are, as a matter of course. Glad it worked out OK for you though.

We have asked Bruno about it in the past and he says no problem and sends a staff member to check periodically. We do take all of our valuables in with us. I do understand what you are saying and your concern. This is the only place where we would leave luggage in the car.

All it takes is less than 5 min to loose everything. Periodically doesn't cut it.

Of course you are correct. We have been on the island 30 times and would always say to people to never leave anything in your car. This is the one place we feel comfortable to do it. Plus it is only our dirty laundry! Having to do an insurance claim would be a pain but not the end of the world. We put our trust in Bruno. He has been our landlord for the past 10 years and has never steered us wrong.

I am happy nothing happened in this instance, but taking care of your belongings is not really their job at the restaurant. They probably would have held your suitcases behind the bar if you had asked.
