Contessa's clubhouse is the most spacious and nicest I've ever been in.
Contessa, and her tireless, "Crew" decorated it to remind
us of St. Martin, along with a nice black-sox display. He explains that
"The Sword" nomer is because he's a lawyer. A back-to-school success story
where Elementary School Principal Aiello went to law school to learn the
tricks of the Shark trade..
Next, we'll have to find someone to stock and light the fireplace some time
when
we get to come back. We could each bring a 'fireplace log' (and less food)
It was so nice to meet so many "natives", and swap stories. Karen DeNova's
paintings were beautiful and added to the ambiance. (So Karen, when will
you offer our favorite 'storm' painting in an affordable print?)
I missed out on Mr. SXM's lemonade (drat!)
We were delighted to learn about the courtship of YBrynner and Paula.
How romantic. Ask Paula how she likes being a 'trophy wife'!
There was a lot of food. Personal favorites were Contessa's lasagna (I managed
to abscond with some) and the Glitter Goddess's calzone. Pleeeease (Contessa,
before you go on drugs for your surgery), and Leanne (aka Glitter Goddess),
send us your respective Lasagna and Calzone recipes.
Good luck with the surgery, Contessa: you'll be in our thoughts and we'll
send good vibes your way.
It was great meeting you all.
Carmen
