Some time ago I read a post about a new restaurant along Restaurant Row in Grand Case. The poster was wondering why many of the big name restaurants were packed to the gills while the new one by the public parking lot sat almost empty. They thought the food at L'effet Mer was much more tempting and delicious than the other restaurants. Well, after reading the post, Carol and I decided to try the place. We weren't disappointed!! Fabulous owner and chef. I just posted my story for today on my blog about the place. Read it and maybe you'll give it a try on your next visit to Grand Case. Another great episode and one more 'must try' restaurant. TY for sharing and bringing it to our attention.

I am so glad that you liked it. When we went, we really felt bad for the chef and owner. I hope that your blog will bring them in. We just loved everything about it. Thanks for trying it and posting about it.

We loved this hidden gem too! Great food in a beautiful atmosphere, and it's waterside too! We will most definitely be there again this November! I liked it BETTER than Ocean82.

Glad to hear that the food is still good after the departure of Stephane the previous chef. I truly believed that his foods flavor and presentation was on par with La Cottage. I know other patrons favor a restaurant because of how they are welcomed by becoming a repeat customer, but based solely on food, L'Effert Mer was one of the best.
Also will miss Gwen's service if she is no longer working there
Will give new owners a try in August.
