Any recommendations for car rentals that you can pick up and drop off at the airport?

Hertz like most others have a short 5 min shuttle ride to there office and lot. I heard on a tripadvisor post that Kenneys does take you in your car somewhere to complete paper work also but you just drop your car off at airport when done.

I have always just done the paperwork IN the car IN the airport parking lot.

"Hearing" something on TripAdvisor may or may not be fact.

I personally had first-hand experience with Hertz that was less than pleasant and would be hard-pressed to use them or recommend them.

I read a lot of restaurant and hotel reviews on TripAdvisor and while many of the hotel reviews are helpful, the restaurant reviews leave a lot to be desired. Way too many Applebee's-type restaurants are way overrated and overhyped. Many merchants also solicit customers to post positive reviews on TripAdvisor.

Exactly!! We used Hertz once. Decent car, okay price, but miserable service. Granted, this was a long time ago. They couldn't understand why we wanted the little car we had reserved and they were unhappy with us when we refused the van type vehicle they said was all they had left. We moved on to Lesley and never looked back.

I have to admit, we used Best Deal in April and we were very satisfied with our rental but they do NOT provide airport pick-up and drop-off and we had to go to their office both ways, but in all our past rentals with Lesley we never had to go elsewhere to do paperwork. Is this something new? Or just another Trip Advisor error?

J D is correct. I've used Kennys for 10 years + and all is done in the airport lot.
Before I found him I did the bus to and from the rental offices and it was a pain.
I realize Scubaman is in love with Hertz, but many frequent visitors have had bad dealings with them and have moved to other vendors.

This is the excerpt from the TripAdvisor Post I was referring to posted yesterday.
"He took us to parking lot where car was parked and we then went to his office to fill out paperwork and we were on our way. To return we just left it in parking lot. Easiest car rental I have ever had anywhere. Highly recommend!!!"

Unless he has opened an office and now taking people there, it was not like this 3+ months ago. His car is basically his office. I have dropped him off at his house before as a courtesy but have never been taken to any "office" to do any paperwork.

Personally, I prefer to answer questions based on personal experience and not what I read or "hear" elsewhere.

I am checking with Lesley/Kenny's for clarification.

Not exactly RIGHT at the airport, but I have had a good experience with Leisure and will be using them again later this year. They pick you up at the airport in your car, take you to their office, which is extremely close to the airport, and you are on your way. When returning, I took car to their office, and they drove me to the airport. They opened at 6 AM that morning to accommodate my 8 AM flight.

Sorry, do they do pickups and dropoffs at the airport, as that was the original question. Not that it means anything, but I haven't heard of them.

We take a cab when we land and have the car delivered to where we are staying next day - Wilfred for the cab and AAA for the car.
For us less hassle - we normally land around 4, out of airport around 5 and just don't want to bother with a car and driving the 1st day and don't have any need for it that day either. If we need to stop for anything Wilfred always obliges.
Might be a different story if we landed earlier in the day and wanted to do some driving. So far we have been able to be pre stocked by Jeannie, so the cab just makes day 1 easier.

Returning, we either have the car picked up by AAA and cab back to the airport with Wilfred [dropped at the door with luggage] or we have gone to the AAA airport office and they drop us at the airport, either is easy.

Another option

We have used Kennys for many years. He is ,without a doubt, the most trustworthy, dependable and nicest person on the island! We will be using him again in August.

I just communicated with Lesley and he asked me to clarify this. He said he might have asked for a ride back to his house (Beacon Hill area) after completing the paperwork in the car at the airport but he does not take customers to any office to do any paperwork.
