We booked our direct flights to STT yesterday! For what it's worth, the cost difference between STT-EIS was substantial for the 4 tickets, even after ferry costs we'll have over 1k for BEER!. Best tickets to EIS also required short layover in San Juan, we really scrambled one year doing this. Having direct 4 hour flights is a good thing to us.

We actually don't mind the ferry crossing! We land STT at 1220p and was hoping to catch the 2pm ferry. Schedules show a 2pm and 4pm, but when I went to the Fast Ferry website, I see only the 4pm? does anyone know if late July schedules are modified?

Plus we've always waited to buy our tickets at the terminal, if that's still a good idea especially in July?

Either way we don't mind chilling at the Pump Room, if that's still there? our safety net can be the 5pm out of Red Hook.

Many more questions coming, I feel like a newbie! Cheers!

If your flight arrives by 12:50 you will be fine for the 1:50 ferry. With no checked bags a 1:15 arrival will work.

A couple of things.I put in "Bomba Charger" as the ferry and it was the new"I Legend" and I just made up a reg # for the boat.....nothing was mentioned. As for The Petite Pump Room" it is there and thriving and run by the very nice owner Michael.I missed him when I walked in and he made a point of seeking me out to say "Hi".I like businesses like that! BTW dinner at The Sugar Mill last night was excellent as ever..steak and ale pie and a couple of glasses of fine red vino..And no sargassum here on the north shore...
