PM,

My only connection was that of knowing the original Caravanserai back in the 70s and early 80s when it was the little sister hotel to the old Mullet Bay Resort. We did watch it morph over the years into Club Munday and something else, I'm thinking, but both as attempts to market it, unsuccessfully, as time share opportunities.

The resurgence of Caravanserai Timeshare and all that subsequently happened in that location is beyond me. I haven't heard anything about it's current status but as Alegria it looks pretty lonely over there. There are lots of people floating around the area during the daytime but it doesn't look like much nighttime activity there at all, and as local chatter goes, I haven't heard ZIP!!

Personally speaking, given the number of times it has been destroyed over the years in one storm or another, it's just not a location that ever appealed to me but sometimes that's what happens when you know a little of its history. It's a gorgeous location but there's always been way too much drama associated with it for my taste.
