While it was a tragedy with what happened, with the crowd and congestion coupled with the jet blast, it has been a relatively safe area. The signs have been there for years. The second fence is 5 years old. The newer bolder warning signs are the same age. No fine will deter anyone. Just think about cell phone and texting laws in the US. Everyone knows it's illegal and dangerous and yet they still do it. What happened is a tragedy, no doubt. It is the first death there ever. But it is the fault of the human being, not the airlines, airport or government. People need to take responsibility for their own actions. Sadly, stupidity will continue to prevail. Let's hope no one else pays for it with their life. I'll get down from my soapbox now.
