Tuesday (12th) This morning we head to Anegada - really excited to get to go here - photos of the beaches look unbelievably beautiful!! We sail over and get there before lunch, load up and head to the dock in the dinghy. Wonderful - this dock is manageable. We all make it on the dock without any mishaps. Lorrin and Eddie are so proud of us!

Eddie gets an open air truck and we head over to Loblolly Beach. Yes, it is as fantastic as all of the pictures - even better because you are there. We snorkel to the reef and around - not seeing a lot today. We do see a Moon jelly fish close in to shore but only one. We enjoy just looking at the scenery here, sunning and taking photos. Of course, Jace likes playing in the sand. Next, we head out to try to see the Flamingos. As we arrive at the salt pond, we see so many flamingos - we are thrilled beyond words! They are pale pink - did not expect that. We start taking our photos and at one point, the flamingos start to leave but soon settle down. While there, Jace sees an Anegada mule. He starts to walk over to see it, everyone looks at me (Ms. Boss Thang) and ask if I am going to let him go by himself? I said, “as soon as he hears that mule bray, he is going to be laying down some tracks!” No sooner had I said that, and Jace is tearing back to the truck. The expression on his face was priceless! We laughed so hard. In some of the pictures we took, it looks like his little feet are not even on the ground! Now, we head over to Cow Wreck Beach. Another unbelievably beautiful beach and we have it all to ourselves. We stop at Sue’s and Olivia’s and find items to take to people back home. We turn in the truck, head back to the boat to clean up because we are going to Anegada Reef Hotel for supper tonight. The ARH has everything looking very pretty the way things are set up on the beach for the meals. The Anegada lobsters are huge and the taste is not what we expected, different taste than the lobster we get in Georgia. Time to head back to the boat.

Wednesday (13th): Morning comes and it is time to leave Anegada so we head for The Dogs. On the way to the Dogs, we hit a ‘squall’ but it was over and gone in 20 minutes - thank heavens cause I have to have flat seas with a very gentle wind with the Bonine and Sea Bands. Definitely do not want to be feeding the ‘fishies’. Capt. Eddie said the Dogs got the name from the seals ‘barking’ - loved that tidbit. He shared other info with us about the BVI’s that we really enjoyed hearing. Lorrin said the best time to snorkel is after it rains. We snorkeled the Chimneys and it was good snorkeling. With lunch over, we pull anchor and head to Guana Island. Lorrin showed us the ‘animal’ shape in the rock. Why could we not see that on our own, once she pointed it out, it was so obvious! We snorkel here and see another “cave”. Again, Jace wants to check it out for buried treasure but alas those ‘dang’ pirates took all the treasure here also!

As a consolation prize, Capt. Eddie pulls Jace in the towable for the next couple of hours and until Jace forgets about the treasure. When Ms. Senior Thang (Peggy) comes in from her snorkel, she starts hollering, “shark, shark!” A couple of us check it out and say, “it may be a nurse shark”. Capt. Eddie has a degree in Marine Biology so we elect him to check it out and accept his decision - a remora! Dang, that was the biggest remora we ever saw! The moon is shining even though it is still daylight - beautiful. Great photo op! We anchor here for the night and enjoy another fantastic sunset and the moon shining on the water!. This is indeed living the “Beautiful Life”.

Thursday (14th): In the morning, so many fish at the back of the boat, it is like our very own aquarium!
Pumpkin pancakes for breakfast this morning - yum! This is the life - we don’t want this vacation to end! The scenery is just beautiful every where you look. We head for Tortola this morning and our first stop will be Cane Garden Bay.

We swim to shore and find more goodies to buy, some for ourselves and some for others. Ms. Sista Thang (Nancy) is the only non-swimmer in the group so we have a magical green floating chair that has been taking her from the boat to the beach and back. We have a pretty good system down working for us or so we think. We get back to the boat, Charlene is on the right side of the float and Peggy is on the left side of the float and Nancy is starting to climb the ladder but decides at the last second to change-up her maneuver for boarding the boat. Then all ‘h__l’ breaks loose! Nancy slips and falls back into the water on top of Charlene - Charlene is underwater and can’t get out from under Nancy. Nancy is still half-way caught on the ladder but her head is submerged in the water!. I swim up and push Peggy under water (almost drowned her) trying to get to Nancy. I get Nancy’s head out of the water, she gets her feet out of the ladder but is terrified. Charlene and Peggy pop back to the surface. Oh hell-o, it is going to take a lot of pain killers to get over this because our nerves are shot! When Nancy gets back to ‘Hotlanta’ and goes to the doctor, she finds she has two hairline fractures. Don’t tell me senior citizens don’t know how to have an exciting vacation!

We sail over to Brewer’s Bay and anchor. All of a sudden, there are two spotted Eagle Rays - we are so excited - first time to see spotted rays. We have only seen the Southern Sting Rays. We are running up and down the boat trying to get pictures. It does not dawn on any of us to get in the water and get the pictures - a good example of a senior moment. Finally we get in and start snorkeling but the rays have gone. We snorkel over to the beach so Honey Man can play in the sand. He really loves having sand all in his bathing suit, hair, everywhere but he is adorable so what are you going to say? We stay in Brewer’s for the night - really like it here also, quiet, peaceful. Capt. Eddie tells us this is not a good place in the winter to stay overnight. Only one other boat here for the night so we almost have it to ourselves.

One more to go and then it is done.
