Not sure why farm fresh eggs might have more chance of being contaminated. We have laying hens and do not wash them until it is time to use them. Eggs naturally come with a protective coating from the hen, called the bloom, and is washed off eggs that you buy in the supermarket. The porous shell is then much more easily contaminated, as opposed to farm fresh eggs.
If life hands you a lemon, just squeeze it on a lobster!
