This was about our 25th trip to SXM since our honeymoon at Mullet Bay in 1982.
Travel - round trip from JFK. 1st time on Jet Blue and we were impressed. Arrived a little early on both legs, and most important, luggage came out quickly on both ends
Lodging - stayed in Villa in Orient Beach
Beaches - stayed at La Playa on Orient. Still good but we were charged ($10) for chairs for first time
Weather - little hot for this time of year and some showers, but didn't disrupt our plans
Lunches - several times at Andy's & Cheryls - our favorite - still as good as ever. La Playa - not good. Kangaroo Court in Phillisburg - very good
Dinners
Il Nettuno - very good
La Vista - very good
Le Cottage- very good - couple from France ( hostess & waiter) very nice people
Le Piment in Orient village ( twice) very good
Misc.
no issues with crime - saw gendrames in Grand Case & Orient Beach
had great conversations with guys at pay parking lot in Grand Case - they have some great stories
motorized bikes on Grand Case Blvd. are a real nuisance, dangerous and extremely loud
A great trip for our 30th anniversary
