We were in Israel in August and September of this year to visit Jerusalem and even visited the West Bank (Hebron and Bethlehem). Yesterday they had a large scale incident in Hebron and of course there are problems with the proposed settlements in Jerusalem right now. The West Bank is very unstable. You need to watch the Jerusalem Post online website constantly when you are visiting there ( www.jpost.com). It is in English and it will tell you where the current fighting, missile launches and problems are. Instability is a constant in Israel and the surrounding area and sometimes it gets worse and then calms down for short periods of time. You should avoid any areas in Gaza, the West Bank and the Golan Heights when the missiles are flying around. Hope this helps!
