I like to use the crossbeam cleats as fairleads - keeps the lines from catching on the hulls or rubbing the antifouling. I also use a Wichard. To make mooring as easy as possible for my crew (wife), I leave one line on the starboard bow with the snap shackle out over the lifelines and clipped back to the tramp. Wife just picks up the pendant and clips the shackle to the eye. Then I go forward and run another line from the port bow through then pendant and back. When leaving the mooring, I unclip the shackle and return to the helm so my wife only needs to slip the port bow line.
