I wanted to sort of "re-up" this question. We're going to have a mostly landbased trip on Tortola in March. We're wondering about the possibility of exploring St John either on a day trip or possibly for 2 days.
Is there an "easy" way to do this or is the answer to get a ferry from Sopers to Red Hook then Red Hook to Cruz Bay? Then same going back?
Dave There are 2 ferries that run from West End to Red Hook that I'm currently aware of. Then you could ferry Red Hook to Cruz Bay. There currently is no tortola to st john ferry. native and son ferry interisland boat services do NOT trust their websites, call for current schedules. i called 2 weeks ago and times were different then posted. also be sure to check all the silly miscellaneous fees, they add up quickly.
