I saved an unoccupied drifting catamaran in The Bight once, the wind was gusting around 5knots, no more. I had to put it on another mooring a bit away from the original location and the charterers returned after dark and had some trouble finding their boat
They had attached their lines well, but the mooring line was extremely frayed (prop damage) and parted easily.
