One small downside, and I'm not sure I'm even going to worry about it, is that we had applied $300 in vouchers that we had gotten for severely delayed flights last year, and those were not reinstated.
Update: We just received emails from AA that our vouchers were reinstated, with a new expiration date one year from today. I hadn't gotten around to sending them an email, so the reinstatement was obviously a part of the refund process. I'm pretty happy with how AA has handled this situation.
