One of my most favorite things in Dallas is the Sixth Floor Exhibit at the Texas School Book Depository - I don't know if you were born when Kennedy was shot, but I was in elementary school & found the whole exhibit very interesting. Also the West End area is filled with shops(which M.J. might like) as well as lots of restaurants & bars. Lovers Lane is also another nice area for shopping. If you are looking for a place to just walk around, the SMU campus is very nice.
