ndfaninnc, I looked at flying out of CLT as well. It's about a 3 hour drive for us. The CLT - MIA - STT flight for out dates was $505 when I started looking a couple months ago. The same flight is $688 now. The nonstop is actually cheaper at $684 . Delta out of Asheville has the lowest rates I've seen for this area.
