We have never stayed at LaSamana. In fact, the closest we ever got to enjoying time there was a Sunday morning light brunch there in the early 70’s. When we were all done, two orders of coffee, juice and pastries set us back over forty dollars. Thank God we didn’t order full breakfasts......

Again, this was in the early 70s and that was a lot of money to two twenty-something kids. Never really felt the urge to go back after that but I will say, it was absolutely gorgeous there and brunch was beautifully served but just way too much money at the time for our rather thin wallets.
