The report calls it a NAAT test, but does not mention PCR. From a little bit of online research, it seems that these are closely related technologies. In fact I think NAAT is a broader term that would include PCR tests. It also seems that there were studies from the spring of 2020 that suggested the IDNOW test has a higher rate of false negatives than PCR.
