Our group arrives October 23rd and departs either November 6th or 7th. We can get ferry tickets in, but so far can't get out. Same thing happened in July trying to find tickets out for the first week of August. Someone - government or ferry companies - have zero interest in making this reasonable or easy.
Just one more hoop to jump thru. Book a water taxi from Tortola to St. Thomas. They'll take an interest in making it easy for you.
